A first of its kind school right here in Memphis is looking to teach young people how to piece together our city and country’s infrastructure, all while making a good living.
Memphis Welding School on Jackson Avenue in North Memphis is the first Black-owned school of it’s kind in the Bluff City, according to the school’s president Reginald Lewis.
“I was trained by TVA for a year, and after over 30 years of service, I want to give back to this community,” said Memphis Welding School President Reginald Lewis.
